Travis Kelce Recalls ‘Giddy’ Moment He Introduced Taylor Swift as His Fiancee for First Time After Proposing at His $6 Million Home
NFL star Travis Kelce has opened up about the "giddy" moment when he introduced Taylor Swift as his fiancée for the first time after he got down on one knee at his $6 million Kansas abode.
Swift and Kelce, both 35, revealed the exciting news of their engagement on Aug. 26 in a joint Instagram post, which saw the "So High School" singer posing in a striped gown.
NFL star Kelce, who began dating the "Lover" hitmaker in 2023, popped the question with a stunning diamond rock that perfectly matched the other jewelry he has gifted Swift throughout their romance.
Kelce's father, Ed, later revealed that the Kansas City Chiefs tight end had actually popped the question to Swift weeks before they went public with the news, but had been keeping their engagement a closely guarded secret.
However, once the cat was out of the bag, the newly engaged duo wasted no time in making their first public appearance as future husband and wife, attending a Nebraska-Cincinnati game at Arrowhead Stadium in Missouri days after announcing their engagement to the world.

It was at this game that Kelce finally had the chance to introduce the songstress as his fiancée, a moment that he recently gushed over while speaking with his brother, Jason Kelce, on their podcast, "New Heights."
On the episode, which aired Sept. 3, Jason, 37, first brought up his brother's engagement, declaring, "Travis, we gotta talk about it," to which Travis jokingly responded, "I don't think we do."
"In case you missed the Instagram post heard 'round the world, Travis and Taylor are engaged! Yay!" Jason added.
Travis blushed and thanked Jason for the podcast shoutout before adding, "That's right, that's right. And I appreciate everybody that reached out and sent something and all the posts and all the excitement that's been going on. It's been really fun telling everybody who I'm going to be spending the rest of my life with."
Jason pressed his brother for more answers and asked how the week after their engagement announcement went.
"Exciting, it's been awesome," he responded, before gushing about the first time he introduced Swift following the proposal.
"I felt that at the game, actually," Travis said, referencing the Cincinnati game he attended with Swift last week. "It was my first time introducing Taylor as my fiancée to a few of my teammates. So yeah, it was pretty cool."
"Don't you get giddy saying it?" Jason questioned.
"Yeah, I do. I still get giddy, exciting times," Travis responded.

"Man, you've gotta know your gal. You've gotta know your gal or your significant other. You can't let how somebody else does it make you feel like you need to do it that way. ... I would just say know your partner, know who you're doing it for, and do it for the right reasons," Travis said as dished out advice for popping the question.
Just days after revealing their plans to tie the knot, the lovebirds headed to the stadium alongside Jason to support the Kansas City Chiefs tight end's alma mater, the University of Cincinnati.
The "So High School" songstress lit up the entire stadium with her shimmering rock, which was designed by Kindred Lubeck and is estimated to be worth anywhere from $400,000 to $800,000.
Allowing the focus to remain on her ring, Swift kept the rest of her look casual by sporting a denim mini skirt, gray sweater vest, and boots, while her fiancé opted for white and red shirt and a baseball cap.
Meanwhile, the now-retired Philadelphia Eagles star, 37, who also attended the University of Cincinnati, donned a black hat and letterman jacket.
However, all eyes were on Swift and Kelce during the game as the couple giggled and showed off their newly engaged bliss—and the singer's stunning diamond, which shimmered under the stadium lights when the pop star lifted her hand to sip on her drink.
The couple also celebrated their first outing alongside Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany Mahomes.
According to TMZ, the couple is spending all of their free time together, however, has not moved in together and buying a new marital home is not a priority for them.

Swift and Kelce announced their engagement via a joint Instagram post on Aug. 26, but just one day later, the athlete's father confessed that the couple had been engaged for weeks.
While speaking with News 5, Ed revealed that his son got down on one knee "maybe two weeks, not quite two weeks ago" at Kelce's Kansas City dwelling.
"He was going to put it off till this week. I think she was getting maybe a little antsy, but he was going to put her off till this week, to, you know, make some grand thing, to make it a big special event.
"And I told him repeatedly, you know, you could do it on the side of the road, do it any place that makes it a special event ... when you get down on one knee and ask her to marry you," he revealed.
The 74-year-old noted that Kelce surprised Swift by pretending they were going out to dinner.
"He got her out there, they were about to go out to dinner, and he said, 'Let's go out and have a glass of wine' ... they got out there, and that's when he asked her, and it was beautiful," he said.
Moments after the proposal, "They started FaceTiming me and their mother and her folks to make sure everybody knew. So, to see them together is great," he added.
"I got a FaceTime call from them, and as soon as I saw the FaceTime, I saw it was Travis, and then I saw Taylor there with him, I knew what they were going to say," he said, "and they, you know, let us know."

Ed also revealed that he and Kelce's mom, Donna, helped the two lovebirds celebrate by going to their son's home.
"His mother and I went with him back to his house for dinner, where Taylor made dinner, and we had a wonderful dinner with them outside on the patio and to just watch the two of them, just crazy about each other," he revealed.
It comes as no surprise that Kelce chose to ask Swift to marry him at his home, as it boasts an overwhelming amount of privacy and lush greenery—two things the pop star is known for adoring.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end snapped up the 17,000-square-foot mansion in the desirable suburb of Leawood, KS, in September 2022 for $6 million.
Located inside a gated community, the grand estate sits on nearly 3.5 acres at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac.
The six-bedroom, six-bathroom mansion sits behind a gated entrance that opens to a dramatic circular driveway. The inside is an entertainer's dream and includes a chef's kitchen, formal dining room, media lounge, wine cellar, and full bar.
Outside, the expansive backyard is anchored by a "Beverly Hills-style" pool area with plenty of space for lounge chairs, umbrellas, and pool toys.
There's also an outdoor kitchen, a tennis/pickleball court, waterfall, hot tub, and miniature golf course.
