Meghan Trainor Finally Sells Encino Home at Huge Discount—Just 1 Day Before Suddenly Canceling Her Tour

Singing sensation Meghan Trainor has finally sold her sprawling California home for $6.8 million after nearly two years of trying to find a buyer—hours before she announced that she has canceled her upcoming tour.

Trainor, 32, revealed on Instagram that she has pulled the plug on her planned Get In Girl concert series, explaining in an Instagram Stories post that she has chosen to forgo the performances in order to focus her energies on her family and her upcoming album, "Toy With Me," which is set to release on April 24.

The songstress—who shares children Riley, 5, and Barry, 5, and daughter Mikey Moon, who arrived via surrogate in January 2026, with husband Daryl Sabara—explained that the decision had been made as the result of "a lot of reflection" and "tough conversations," but did not reveal what prompted her to call it quits on the tour.

“After a lot of reflection and some really tough conversations, I’ve made the difficult decision to cancel 'The Get In Girl Tour,'" she wrote.

"Balancing the release of a new album, preparing for a nationwide tour, and welcoming our new baby girl to our growing family of five has just been more than I can take on right now, and I need to be home and present for each and all of them at this time."

The Get In Girl Tour was set to kick off in Michigan on June 12, followed by performances at 30 arenas across the country.

In her statement, Trainor apologized to her fans for the decision, but insisted that she was making the right choice for her family.

"This is the right decision for my family and me right now. I promise I’ll be back soon, and I can’t wait for you to hear this new record. I’m so proud of it, and I’m endlessly grateful for your love and support always," she added.

Her sudden change of heart came just one day after she sold her Encino, CA, home, which had been on the market for nearly two years before it finally found a buyer.

According to property records, Trainor initially listed the seven-bedroom, 7.5-bathroom dwelling for $11.99 million in June 2024. That asking price was steadily lowered over the next 21 months, eventually falling to $6.99 million in March of this year.

Still, Trainor did not manage to secure that full ask, with records indicating that the sale of the posh pad closed for $6.83 million on April 15.

Trainor and Sabara, 33, who tied the knot in 2018, purchased the 14,164-square-foot home in 2020 for $6.5 million. They completely renovated the home and even added a recording studio.

The property, which was originally built in 1998, comes complete with a gym, walk-in closet, walk-in pantry, wine cellar, an office, and a guesthouse.

The home is being sold unfurnished and boasts a stunning backyard that is fit for entertaining, thanks to its lush greenery and resort-style pool, waterfall, slide, and hot tub.

The cancelation and sale of her home come after she admitted to Us Weekly that she and Sabara had been attending marriage counseling while she was working on her upcoming album.

"I'm in heavy therapy. I was in marriage counseling while doing this album," she admitted before noting that she and her spouse are "so good now that I recommend it to everyone."

She added, "But that's where having the young kids, we learned, one through five, your marriage gets pushed to the side, and then you're like: 'Why are we fighting? We're on the same team.'

"We started marriage counseling because we realized when we were even having little, tiny arguments. We were living in full different realities. We would even say in our fights, 'Hey, we're not even fighting about the same thing.'"

The singer noted that they learned that communication is key.

"You just can't hold anything in because it builds resentment, and resentment is a relationship killer," she said.

Trainor insisted that she and her husband are in a much better place now, explaining, "Now we can look at each other and read each other's minds. We never bicker anymore, and we're always there for each other on a different level."

Her admission came after she opened up about the hate she was receiving following her weight loss journey as well their decision to use a surrogate.

During an appearance on the "Not Gonna Lie" podcast, She said, "I didn't look [at the comments]. I knew fully — because it was after all the hate I was already getting for changing, just for looking different because I took care of myself — so I was like, 'Oh, they hate me now. They ain't going to like this.'"

She added, "And it was a cloud of tears every night of just worry. I want my daughter to come to this world and not everyone attack her for the way she got here. All of that went through my head. But my team was with me, my therapist was with me, everyone was so supportive. My husband was like, 'Everyone can suck our a—.'"

Speaking about her decision to use a surrogate, she explained, "[We had] heartbreaking, big decision making to do, and I was struggling with my health and almost towards an autoimmune disease.  So there's so many conversations back and forth. Then we were like, the safest way is to do it through a surrogate."
